Information we process
Using ReelFab as a guest still creates an account identifier. Guest use is not the same as using a service without personal data.
- Account and device information: account ID, email if you sign in, sign-in/session records, device and operating system, IP address and approximate country. Native apps also send a persistent device identifier for free-credit abuse prevention.
- Creative content: uploaded audio, photos and, on some upload paths, video; file names, size, duration and fingerprints; prompts, cover text, transcripts, edits, generated images and project history. Supported clients extract audio on your device before uploading it for transcription.
- Public links you choose to analyse: source URLs, downloaded public media, available post information and generated analysis.
- Purchases: plan, credit balance, order and payment-provider identifiers, purchase status and transaction details received from the checkout provider.
- Technical and support information: error reports, application/build details, and the information you choose to send when asking for help.
Why we use this information
We use account and content information to provide the features you request, keep projects available, verify sign-in, process purchases and credit usage, and respond to support requests. Device, session and diagnostic information helps protect accounts, prevent repeated free-credit abuse, investigate failures and maintain the service.
Where applicable, processing is based on performing our agreement with you, legitimate interests in operating and securing the service, legal obligations for payment records, or your consent where required. You can withdraw consent for future processing without affecting processing already carried out lawfully.
AI services and other recipients
Cloud features send the content needed for your request to processing services. The services involved depend on the feature and selected model.
- Transcription: fal.ai processes uploaded audio through an ElevenLabs Scribe endpoint.
- Text and visual analysis: OpenRouter routes text and image inputs to the selected model provider; the configured models include OpenAI and Google models.
- Cover generation: OpenAI processes photos and text to generate images. ReelFab uses its orchestration services, including Aegra/LangGraph and OpenHands, to coordinate work.
- Storage and delivery: account and project records are stored in our backend databases; uploaded files and outputs use S3-compatible storage. Public-source media and analysis may be cached through Bunny Storage/CDN. Some supported public-link retrieval uses SocialKit.
- Payments: Gumroad handles the current checkout. ReelFab receives purchase records needed to fulfil purchases and reconcile credits. Card details are entered with the payment provider.
- Diagnostics: Sentry receives error and technical information. The application applies filtering to limit unnecessary personal data in these reports.
Website cookies and Google Tag Manager
The app uses session identifiers to keep you signed in, including guest sessions. The public website stores your theme preference, remembers your cookie choice in this browser for six months and preserves campaign parameters when you follow product links.
Optional analytics are off until you allow them. You can accept in one click or keep only necessary cookies. Open “Cookie settings” in the footer at any time to change your choice or withdraw consent.
Google Tag Manager loads Google Analytics only after you allow analytics. Your choice is passed to Google through consent settings; advertising consent remains off. The exact active tags, recipients and cookie lifetimes must still be confirmed for the final version of this policy.
We use the country reported by our delivery provider to show relevant privacy information. Optional analytics stay off before consent regardless of country. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, optional analytics remain off.
Storage, retention and international processing
Records are kept according to their purpose: active accounts and projects support ongoing use; caches and diagnostic records support processing and troubleshooting; payment and abuse-prevention records may be needed after account closure. Different categories have different lifetimes. Removing a project or account does not mean every external or backup copy disappears immediately.
Processing services may operate outside your country. Contact us with questions about hosting arrangements and international transfers. This policy does not specify fixed retention periods for providers or guarantee that AI providers never train on inputs.
Account deletion and retained records
The App Store release is being prepared with an in-app account deletion flow for both signed-in and guest accounts. Its availability must be confirmed before this policy takes effect. In a version that provides this control, open Profile → Account and use Delete account or Delete my data.
Deletion covers account details and associated private projects, uploads and generated covers, with cleanup of local app data. Server cleanup can continue asynchronously, including retries when an external service is unavailable. Follow the confirmation and status shown by the app; deleting the app alone is not an account deletion request.
Limited unlinked payment records and hashed session or anti-abuse records may be retained to prevent duplicate payment processing, revoked-session reuse and abuse. Shared analyses of public-source material can remain without account attribution. Payment providers retain their own records under their policies. Files you exported to your gallery or shared outside ReelFab are outside the account deletion process.
Account deletion does not by itself cancel a subscription with an external payment provider or request a refund. Manage recurring payments using the provider shown on your receipt.
Your choices and rights
Depending on applicable law, including the GDPR, UK GDPR, Brazil’s LGPD and US state privacy laws, you may request access, correction, deletion, a copy or transfer of your data, restriction of processing, or object to processing based on legitimate interests. You may withdraw consent where processing depends on it and complain to your competent data protection authority.
Where applicable, you may opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information and targeted advertising by contacting us below. “Cookie settings” in the footer controls optional analytics on this website; it does not change your app permissions or account settings.
Use the contact below for privacy requests. We may ask for information needed to verify that you control the account. Do not send passwords or sign-in codes. You can limit cloud processing by not submitting content to that feature, and manage camera, microphone or photo access through your device settings.
If you believe a child has provided personal information without required permission, contact us so we can investigate.
Changes to this policy
The effective date identifies the current version. Material changes will be communicated as appropriate, and new consent will be requested where required.
